Portfolio management with PM²
PM² (pronounced “P-M squared”) is a Project Management Methodology developed by the European Commission. It is based on operational experience from projects run within the European Institutions, but also incorporates elements from a wide range of globally accepted project management best practices, standards and methodologies such as the PMBOK ® Guide, PRINCE2® and IPMA-ICB.
The certification program is available only to the EU institutions’ staff.
In 2019, the PfM² Portfolio Management Methodology guidelines were completed and delivered to the Strategic Planning & Monitoring Unit of DiGIT, European Commission.
The PfM² Portfolio Management Methodology comprises of a Process Model and a Governance Model and its implementation is supported by a set of Mindsets and Artefacts.
Mindsets in the PfM² Portfolio Management Methodology are a common set of beliefs and values that aim to become the glue that holds management processes and practices together across the organisation.
The following presentation explains in detail the constructs of the PfM² Portfolio Management Methodology. Enjoy!
